from Black
a glimpse of pink to think about
Then Blue and green begin to mingle
into teal
From the moving bluing-Green,
the mixing two yellow to a slightly
orange view
But doubtless to an impatient hue
Rosy Red and embered amber enter on
the scene to push the pastels out
and keep them few and far between
Now shocking pink and electric blue
vibrate to varied hues, to keep
the single silent tone from being too alone
A dash of scarlet and faint of pale
race to join the color scale
while black and white
and those two find
a drying dye
and peace of mind
